Get Into Security

An exciting opportunity is available to young people aged 18-30 living in the Colchester, Braintree, Clacton and Tendring areas that are currently not in training, education or employment. Consisting of 2 weeks training with Learning Skills Solutions followed by 2 weeks work placement in a relevant Security setting.  This free 4 week Get into Security programme is in partnership with The Prince’s Trust, Learning Skills Solutions and the Job Centre all working together to deliver a unique training and placement package where young people: Take part in a two week training course with Learning Skills Solutions; Gain the SIS security card (blue badge); Complete two weeks practical experience with an employer; Improve teamwork and communication skills as well as boost confidence; Gain qualifications to help gain work in this industry; Receive up to six months support from The Prince’s Trust to help you find employment, education and training opportunities.

This programme has good positive outcomes for the right young people, it won’t affect any benefits already being claimed and all travel expenses will be refunded for the full 4 weeks. Interviews will take place week commencing Monday 18th September.  If successful you will be invited to a Taster Day Wednesday 27th September. This programme runs from Monday 2nd October – Friday 3rd Nov 2017.
