EXTRAEXTRA can help you to develop your self confidence and parenting skills. This will help you bring out the best in your child, reduce conflict in the family home, improve family relationships and build confidence to cope with future changes.

EXTRA is here to help you meet the challenges of being a parent. EXTRA offers local opportunities to meet other parents at one-off workshops,support groups and parenting courses.Courses are for parents/carers of children of all ages including those with additional needs. Activities are free, with refreshments and many have a crèche. EXTRA can help you to develop your self confidence and parenting skills.This will help you bring out the best in your child, reduce conflict in the family home, improve family relationships and build confidence to cope with future changes.

Jaywick Young Parents Group: An informal friendly group with free hot drinks, breakfast, activities and toys. The group is for young parents (up to 25 years old) living in Jaywick and their children. Every Tuesday 10.30 – 12 noon at the Jaywick Community Resource Centre. Thanks to the Essex Millennium Fund, regular attendees can go on fully funded day trips – such as Jimmy’s Farm, Colchester Zoo and Maldon Splash Park.
