Free Young Persons Mental Health Counselling

Inspire Suffolk is a charity recognised and valued for the work undertaken with young people experiencing personal challenges and social instability, who need opportunities for purposeful reintegration into society.

Each day, Inspire Suffolk works at the forefront of helping young people to overcome challenges onto positive next steps in their lives back into employment and further training. Thousands of people have benefitted from the Inspire Suffolk’s services since our inception – providing opportunities that they may not otherwise have access to, to help better their life chances.

At Inspire Suffolk, we understand the importance of managing positive mental health and looking after individual wellbeing and welfare – that is why we have introduced a new free Wellbeing Service to support any young person aged 16-25 years and living in Suffolk and Essex.

These are unsettling times due to the coronavirus outbreak and lockdown restrictions, many young people may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed or down and are unsure how to manage their emotions and process them in the correct way.

Our wellbeing service can offer weekly 30-minute distance counselling sessions with a BACP Accredited Counsellor; these sessions will explore choices within mental health, resilience and confidence within mental health and listening to you. These sessions will aim to provide young people with the knowledge, tools and coping strategies to deal with their own mental health in a positive way during the coronavirus outbreak, lockdown and life in general.

We aim to provide the first counselling session within 7 days of initial contact, with no waiting list. These counselling sessions will be for up to 4 weeks, with additional sessions being offered on healthy lifestyle choices afterwards and our counsellor will signpost any young person needing further support.
